Peisey-Vallandry’s lift system is integrated into the Les Arcs ski area, although the two are often marketed separately. There’s fantastic snow, ancient farming hamlets, sheltered tree-lined runs and excellent skiing for beginners and intermediates. There are lovely piste-side restaurants and bars too if you fancy taking it easy for a spell.
As a resort, Peisey-Vallandry has the charm of small alpine resorts like Les Gets or Megeve, but with higher, snow sure slopes and lots of easily accessible lift-linked runs. This means, unlike Chamonix for example, once you’re out, you don’t need to catch a bus to go from one slope to another. You also have easy access across to the rest of Les Arcs, one of the top snow boarding venues in Europe thanks to its superb board park, permanent half pipe and long, wide runs. For skiers, Les Arcs has lots of challenging black runs, wide and fast reds, gentle blues and some great off-piste.
